Below are some of the hidden gems of knowledge from this incredible presentation, read through them to discover the potential and intricacies of this robust new solution from Microsoft:

The Why: Collaboration

Why should your organization adopt Microsoft Teams as a business communication solution? One word: collaboration. Poor or mismanaged collaboration can lead to ineffective teamwork and costly mistakes. Organizations need to be enabled with the best collaboration options available to make the highest quality decisions. Collaboration is key to innovation, and you need to be on the cutting edge. When Teams is combined with the potent applications of Office 365, you have what you need.

The What: Teams as O365 hub

Microsoft Teams functions as the hub of your Office 365 suite - a place for groups of employees or members to interact and collaborate on their projects. Through chat, group chat, calling and meetings, they can work together directly and simultaneously interface with the incredible apps offered by O365 in a single pane. Your groups can also take advantage of the full-width screen options and fantastic audio and video clarity/ Teams is customizeable and secure, which means you don't have to worry about functionality issues or threats to the integrity of your data.

The Who: CallTower Teams Calling Plan

Who is CallTower? We're an industry-leading provider of unified communication (UC) solutions, and we exist to enable people to easily connect. We're also Microsoft Gold Partners, which to us means we develop our solutions with native Microsoft architecture - meaning less headaches for our customers. We have US-based 24/7/365 support, a dedicated and comprehensive team for equipment and training and white-glove implementation systems and management.

But what does all this have to do with Teams? CallTower is hard at work developing Microsoft Teams Calling Plans, complete with Direct Routing. This option will be available to customers by the end of 2018 and comes complete, with total interoperability with other CallTower solutions. Direct Routing is essential for staying connected and integrating apps and, when combined with CallTower solutions, is empowered to coexist with Skype and change management software. One such CallTower solution is our SD-WAN enabled CT Cloud Boost, which provides stellar uptime and failover options.

The How: Transition to Teams

When it comes to Microsoft Teams, one size will not fit all organizations. There are some pretty key differences between Skype and Teams, so consider all your options as you ponder joining Teams. CallTower's Skype Support will continue unabashed for years to come, and is currently moving to Skype Server Edition 2019 to provide options for our customers.
