This August, we are excited to bring our customers and future customers a simpler experience for your guest to joining a Skype for Business meeting using the web app.  The updated app will benefit all of those non Skype4B users that join your meetings.

If you are a current hosted Skype for Business user, there is no conversion process, the new experience simply replaces the old version of the web application invitation.

Skype for Business consolidates business communications tools into a single, easy-to-use application. Skype for Business desktop and a mobile conferencing solutions streamline interactions with employees and customers across the globe!

The Skype for Business Web App is browser-based meeting apps used for to join Skype for Business meetings. You can’t schedule a meeting from Skype for Business Web App, but you can join a meeting that was scheduled by using either Outlook or Skype for Business Web Scheduler.

To join a meeting by using the Skype for Business Web App, you will now have the ability to join the meeting via the web app or join with the desktop option. 

Skype4B Meeting Experience

If you choose the Skype meeting app you will initiate the installation of SkypeMeetingApp windows installer package to save to your desktop.  To ensure that you, or your meeting guests, don’t get hung up along the way, there are instructions that take you step-by-step through the process.
