Transport Layer Security

In response to the growing concern among our customers about security, we have added Transport Layer Security (TLS) to our hosted offerings. With TLS:

• The connection is private (secure) because symmetric cryptography is used to encrypt the data transmitted.
• The connection ensures integrity because each message transmitted includes a message integrity check using a message authentication code to prevent undetected loss or alteration of the data during transmission.
• Future disclosure of encryption keys cannot be used to decrypt any TLS communications recorded in the past.

TLS is available now for hosted CT Cloud customers and will be added for SIP customers.

Emergency Notification

Someone in your organization calls 911. Emergency services are dispatched, but what happens until they arrive?

With 911 notification on our CT Cloud voice platform, a voice message and/or an email is sent to predetermined people in the organization, which allows them to attend to the person right away.

In this way, Emergency Notification provides an essential layer of safety for people who make 911 calls – and an extra layer of security for the organization.

Free Calling Between SIP Trunks

Calls between extensions have always been free with our hosted phone service; now it’s available for customers with two or more SIP trunks. All that’s required is that the trunks be in the same Appia account.

CT Cloud FAX

CT Cloud Fax results are impressive. This new technology significantly improves the success of fax transmissions such that they are in line with transmission rates for traditional fax machines. So, if you have had issues using ATAs with your traditional fax machine, you should look into MasterFax.

International Calling from Mobile Phones

If you make international calls using your mobile phone, consider installing our softphone. The softphone has all of the key features of a desktop phone, and our international rates are substantially lower than what the carriers charge.
